Presentation of institutional jerseys to Pumas Ambassadors

On June 23, the University of Azuay presented institutional jerseys to students who will participate in mobility programs abroad between July and December 2025, as well as to students and administrative staff who will undertake short stays abroad, and to the group of athletes who will represent the university at the FISU GAMES world championship in Germany.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers, administrative staff, students from our university community and the general public.
The event began with a speech by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who emphasized the honor it represents for the institution to have students who will bring their identity and values to different parts of the world through mobility programs. He also recognized the effort and commitment of the athletes who will travel to Germany to represent the university in an international championship, wishing them success and that the tricolor flag will accompany them at all times.
Afterwards, institutional jackets were distributed to all those traveling abroad.
Emilio Mínguez Torres, rector of the University of the Caribbean, Dominican Republic, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between institutions through close contact and collaboration. He highlighted the value of academic mobility programs, classifying them as fundamental to the development of students and universities. He emphasized that these experiences are not only personally and academically enriching, but also allow students to learn about new cultures and proudly represent both their country and their home institution.
To conclude the event, Marcelo Calle, director of the Department of International Relations at the University of Azuay, expressed his pride as he bid farewell to the students embarking on this new academic phase. He wished them success in their stays at their host universities and invited them to be proud to represent their institution, their culture, and their traditions.
