Inauguration ceremony of the new student representatives 2025-2026

On June 20, the University of Azuay held the inauguration ceremony for the new student representatives for the 2025-2026 term; an event in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The event was attended by authorities, faculty and students from our university community, family members and friends of the new student representatives, and the general public.
The ceremony began with remarks from Bryan Galindo and Marcelo Galán, outgoing representatives of the Student Federation of the University of Azuay, who emphasized the importance of commitment in assuming this responsibility. They thanked those who had accompanied them throughout their careers and the authorities for their continued support. They also expressed their best wishes to the new representatives, confident that they will carry out their duties firmly and for the benefit of all students.
Subsequently, the inauguration certificates for the new student representatives for the 2025-2026 term were handed out and signed.
After the presentation of the minutes, Nicole Peralta, incoming president of UDAFE, addressed the audience and expressed that this appointment represents more than a position: it's an opportunity to serve the university community with integrity and commitment. She noted that today marks the beginning of a new challenge, and that her team is prepared to work for and on behalf of young people.
The event concluded with remarks by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who emphasized that this is one of the institution's most important sessions, as it marks the moment when the baton is taken up in student life. He noted that the University trains young people capable of caring for and transforming the world, and that the new representatives bear the responsibility of contributing to changing the country's future by caring for the community to which they belong.
